Fitting Tips

• Fit your mask while in your sleeping position with your positive airway pressure (PAP) device attached and running at your treatment pressure.
• Don't over-tighten the headgear.
• The pads of the forehead support should lightly touch your forehead when the mask is in place.
• Make sure the upper straps pass across your forehead and the lower straps below your ears.
• If you need to tighten the headgear, start from the top of the mask because eliminating the leaks into the eyes is most important. Tighten in small increments.
• If leaks develop during the night, reposition the mask by pulling it away from your face. Pulling it away from your face should allow re-inflation of the mask cushion.
• Make sure the sides of your nostrils do not touch the cushion because this may cause pinching.
• The shallow cushion works well for men with facial hair.
• If you have dentures and sleep without them, remove them when fitting your full face mask because your facial contours change when you wear dentures.
