How we started providing CPAP, BIPAP Equipment and Supplies

We began as a small 2 bed Sleep Lab in early 2003. We quickly discovered our patients had very few choices available to them when it came to CPAP and BIPAP equipment and supplies.

O.K. my wife complained that I was snoring like a freight train! I had a Sleep Test done through an HMO I had at the time. It was determined (and believe me there was no doubt!) that I did in fact, have Sleep Apnea. So, my Physician referred me to my local Medical Equipment Provider (who was contracted with my HMO). I was placed in a room with at least 10 other people who all received the same featureless CPAP Device, the same cheap Mask, and the same 10 minute talk as to how to operate the device and put your mask on…and basically good luck!
I was miserable! The Mask is one of the most important pieces of equipment you use with CPAP. The Mask they issued me did not fit me or suit the way I slept…at all!
